Finding things to do on a cold day has become Eli’s and Millie’s strength. It seems like its been so long since we’ve been able to play outside, I just feel bad.  Both of the kids love when dad is home though. He always makes up some game that has them giggling and engaged.  Eli and Scott love racing cars. Millie tries sooo hard to keep up.

Ready, Set, GO!

Dad is in the lead...

...but Eli won it in the end

Both of the kids also really love to play on mom and dad’s bed! Jumping, climbing, and falling into the pillows are just some of their favorites. And for some reason, the squeals get ten times louder when mom hops on, too.

Eli’s favorite thing of all seems to be sneaking off into mom and dad’s room without being noticed. He climbs up to the desk and, over the last couple of months, has caused a lot of damage. Its amazing how much he can do in a short amount of time.  Once, by the time I realized he was in there and called him to come out, he had put stamps all over his shirt like they were stickers.

I used to think permanent marker was a great thing!

And just so I can keep things in perspective, the cost of re-painting my desk is small compared to all the things we might spend money on to keep us busy this winter. So, to Eli and Millie, carry on with your imagining and messing. Well, as long as you don't mess up the TV...
